Technology Operations Manager-Bellevue, WA-Direct Hire
FUNCTION:
Manages the activities associated with hardware product assembly and manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
Must have knowledge of assembly, testing, and fabrication techniques (i.e., welding, machining, sheet metal).
Develop and implement plans to efficiently utilize materials, labor, and equipment.
Ensure that all parts, assemblies, and final products are produced on schedule and according to customer specifications. Is responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
Lead team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities.
Manage production staff to attain production and quality goals.
Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues.
Ensure production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules.
Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service.
Manage and own various functions of the business and create an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results.
Reports to the COO.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Individual must have technical proficiency in Hardware and Linux OS
Previous work experience in a department that did full rack integration
Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP
Knowledgeable on high and low voltage power and cooling concepts (120/208, 3Phase, UPS, HVAC)
Working technical knowledge of ATX; PCI; AGP; ATA; SCSI; SCA; USB; NVIDIA; Solaris / UNIX; Windows 2008 / 2012; RAID and Storage concepts; Ethernet cabling and wiring standards
Basic understanding of virtualization technology and concepts
Mechanical skill with hand tools, power tools and soldering
Have an understanding knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Team player, must work well in a diverse environment
Must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Passion for Technology
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent:
BS / BA in a Technology Field
3 years of direct leadership and supervision of a technical team
3-5 years' experience as a System Administrator
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment and manufacturing environment. Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Low level of stress may occur. May require moderate lifting. Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects.
