40Position SummaryThe Audit Coordinator performs financial accounting and manages the year-end audit process for assigned clients in accordance with Company guidelines, client needs and legislative requirements.
Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Completes monthly financials statements and manages the year-end audit process for assigned clients.
Prepares GAAP basis financial statements, including preparation and input of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, bank reconciliations, investment disclosures and contribution analysis.
Maintains the chart of accounts and prepares financial statements with footnote disclosures and schedules for auditors and management reports for Form 5500.
Distributes year-end GAAP financial statements to auditors.
Researches and resolves discrepancies and responds to inquiries and requests from Auditors.
Serves as the primary contact for audit inquiries, problems and exceptions related to the review of all GAAP basis financial reporting.
Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal accounting systems and policies and procedures to ensure operations remain in compliance with current Accounting Industry regulations and reporting/disclosure requirements.
Prepares interim financial statement work as assigned including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and preparation of schedules as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Five years of experience working in an accounting role including two years of full accrual accounting.
Thorough understanding of common accounting principles and practices.
Working knowledge of accounting software.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Proficient computer skills including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications Audit experience of employee benefits or pension trust funds.
Experience working in a third-party administrator, insurance, or health and welfare environment.
Prior experience in Taft-Hartley trust administration.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
