BMS is seeking to recruit a permanent Site Procurement Lead located at the multi-product Cell-Therapy manufacturing facility based in Bothell, WA.
Reporting to the Director, Cell-Therapy Internal Operational lead - the Site Procurement Lead will lead a team responsible for BMS Cell-Therapy site sourcing efforts for direct bio process materials (BPMs), indirect materials, capital equipment and related services, engineering/facility services, as well other materials, and services for the BMS Bothell, WA site.
This position will maintain strong alignment to the Cell-Therapy manufacturing network strategy and initiatives, support the business with close partnership with the site management team, and engage closely with any appropriate GPS (Global Product Supply) sites within the GPS network to ensure best value for local site and BMS in general.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Maintain continuity of current Direct material supply for manufacturing operations (cGMP) at the Manufacturing facility by managing suppliers and engaging directly with site stakeholders as well as global support teams.
Achieve and exceed metrics including value beyond savings, purchase price variance (PPV), receipt to promise (RTP), inventory, and invoicing compliance.
Lead Site & Region-based efforts for standardization of raw materials and consumables and drive delivery of cost savings including alternate/secondary sourcing of materials for cost savings/avoidance.
Lead Supplier Relationship Management programs as requested and aligned with Category Leads.
Lead Regional sub-category strategy development and execution in conjunction with relevant category lead as well as Capital investment strategies and ensure compliance/governance on all major capital projects.
The individual will drive delivery of cost savings including alternate/secondary sourcing of materials for cost savings/avoidance for all categories.
Provide leadership and guidance to department personnel executing sourcing events.
Lead annual budget process for site operations, working closely with category leaders, site finance, site supply chain, general management, and GP finance with right first time standards.
Support cGMP or Finance audit activities, as required, and in alignment with site quality and finance operations.
Escalate supply-related audit requests as required.
Lead/support Site based risk assessments (Direct & Indirect products and services) and the overall business continuity process engagement with the global team.
The lead will support/manage procure to pay transactions, enforce policies and internal controls, and provide support for end-users in addition to managing vendor relationships and interactions.
Governance of processes and guidelines related to sourcing activities and approvals will be a major part of the role.
Contract management, creation of legal documents and templates, supporting LOIs, SOWs and MSAs across the site and networkRecruit, manage, and develop a team of procurement operations personnel and create a strategic vision to achieve best-in-class site objectives for supply and services.

in science, engineering, or business.
Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of multi-disciplined procurement experience.
Preferred experience in a technical, operational, or business role within relevant industry and role expectations.
Prior cGMP experience in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and/or medical device industry is highly preferred.
Knowledge and proficiency with SAP and/or other ERP system is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally as critical member of site team.
Must have a strong customer service orientation with excellent analytic, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated high degree of independence, requiring minimal supervision from senior management.
The starting compensation for this job in Bothell, WA is a range from $149,000 - $188,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
