## Description
We are seeking a corporate relations specialist to act as a communication generalist for Allstate's Northwest Regional Corporate Relations team. The regional corporate communications specialist will be an integral part of the Northwest team, headquartered in Bothell, Washington. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing internal communications, creating external/internal communication plans, and conducting follow-up measurement reports, as well as assisting with strategic philanthropy and external communications support in Allstate's Northwest Region - which consists of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. The role will support the Field Corporate Relations Manager in assisting with and implementing the communications strategy that position Allstate as an insurance and financial services leader. The individual will work closely with our sales, product and marketing teams to promote various regional initiatives - new product launches and product enhancements, sales promotions, strategic philanthropy and recruitment.
The person in this position is expected to:
Develop and execute internal communication plans and tools that consider all stakeholders and are aligned with corporate and regional priorities, messaging and business objectives.
As directed, implement and support proactive media relations programming, including developing and distributing electronic and video communications materials; assisting with the implementation of strategic public relations campaigns integrated with national reputation goals and programs; assist with the planning and execution of media and community events.
As directed, implement and measure internal and external communications plans to ensure integration and message consistency among all regional stakeholders.
As directed, develop strategic communications to help drive engagement, line of sight and culture change among regional internal/external stakeholders for new and existing business and reputation programs and initiatives.
Assist with growing partnerships with community organizations aligned with The Allstate Foundation''s signature program areas, including teen safe driving and the economic empowerment of victims of domestic violence.
Execute catastrophe communication management; including media relations programming; developing and distributing internal communications; implementing and managing social media support materials.
Assist with the implementation of events and project management for The Allstate Foundation, volunteer activities, External Media, as well as the achievement of key business unit objectives.
The person in this role will utilize their internal and external communication skills to develop materials that assist with favorably positioning Allstate with its key stakeholders, including Allstate agents, customers, consumers, media, opinion leaders and employees. In addition, this individual will help with the advancement of the credibility, and positive reputation of the corporation through implementing an integrated, multifaceted internal communication plans. This will enhance Allstate''s image and reputation through improved Allstater engagement and accountability.
## Qualifications
The candidate will have a minimum of five - eight years of communication experience that includes internal and external communications, newsletter writing, developing communication strategies and plans, media research and media relations . In addition to the following:
Proven track record writing and implementing internal communications that build employee/agency engagement.
Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans to accomplish business results.
Experience in measuring and reporting on communication analytics
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in Cision and able to develop and execute media lists, pitching and create and maintain reporter relationships
Experience using social media strategies and tactics to advance business goals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver effective presentations and written materials.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated team player in a cross-functional, national setting.
Proven ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Highly organized self-starter who is driven to achieve outstanding results.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into integrated communication strategies and tactics that will drive business performance.
Possess strong business knowledge and have a general understanding of the insurance and or financial services industry.
Travel is required among the five states that makeup the Northwest region and occasional travel to Northbrook, Illinois. Some occasional work on the weekends for media campaigns and event planning and execution is also required.
Mobility - career progression will require willingness to relocate to any of our 14 regional offices and/or Headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois.

Educational Background:
Bachelor''s degree with an emphasis in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations. A Master's degree is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
