Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.In this position, you will serves as a subject matter expert on various emergency management laws, regulations, policies and programs. The primary purpose for this position provides continuity policy and program guidance to all Federal, State, territorial, tribal, and local government jurisdictions in the region, and includes guidance and outreach coordination responsibilities to all Federal State, territorial, tribal, and local government elected officials and senior managers in the region. . Typical assignments include:
Providing sound continuity guidance and advice to all Federal, State, territorial, tribal, and local governments on appropriate training programs to meet Presidential and OHS mandated and recommended continuity requirements to include coordination oversight, management, and leadership for plans and programs, and test, training and exercises (IT&E), multi-year strategies, and overall program implementation. Designing, developing, and implementing multi-state or national exercise scenarios and serving as the primary evaluator for Federal Departments and Agencies biennial continuity assessments. Developing, directing, reviewing, and evaluating continuity planning programs for effectiveness and integration with other FEMA and Federal plans. Initiating, writing, interpreting and implementing FEMA regional continuity policy, regulations, reports, and position papers at the direction of Regional Administrator and the Federal Preparedness Coordinator. Promotion Potential:
Future promotions will be dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and administrative approval. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. You qualify for this position at the GS-12 level (starting salary $84,045) if you possess the following:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience in the coordination and delivery of continuity of operations and/or emergency management related programs that support Federal, state, local, and other whole-community partner. You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level (starting salary $99,941) if you possess the following:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience in the coordination, planning, development, and delivery of continuity of operations and/or emergency management related training and exercise programs that support Federal, state, local, and other whole-community partners. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.NOTE:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
